Brownie
Date of birth: 2012.
Gender: female
Size: large
My life story: I was taken to the shelter by the Lagos Kennel many years ago (2012). We were a pack of seven dogs that hung out in the Boavista Golf Club area and we scared golfers because we were so many and kind of big too. People said we were aggressive, but we were just looking for food. We were always very shy and were kept in a pack, always together, because we didn’t like the other dogs. As time went by my companions died and now there are three left, me, Maluka and Girlie.
My nature: I have always been very shy and have always been very afraid of people. I only started to trust a little when one of the volunteers started to spend more time with me and my sisters, and now they can even get us out of our kennel and play in the playground, which was impossible before. They say I am very intelligent and it is true. I am calm and I don’t get into conflicts with anyone, I prefer to stay away. I don’t know if I will ever find a family. I think I would like to, but I would have to have an outside space and the family would have to be patient with me, to gain my trust and I would like them. I behave myself very well, so I think I would be a good dog for someone.
