My life story: I arrived at the Cadela Carlota shelter in May 2025, coming from the Lagos Municipal Kennel, where I had been living for several months.

My nature: I am extremely shy, a result of the difficulties I’ve faced throughout my life before arriving at the Cadela Carlota shelter. I feel comfortable around other dogs, although I don’t socialize much with them. I tend to hide from people I don’t know and only go for walks with the volunteers I already trust. Even then, leaving my little corner is always an adventure, because I’m afraid of everything unfamiliar. If someone falls in love with me, I’ll be a true work in progress — I’ll need lots of patience, time, and love to learn that I’m safe and that I can be myself. But I’ll get there, I just need a little love.
